Dr. Stephen R. Buck received his bachelor's degree and Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. He currently practices optometry in Valparaiso, Indiana. In 26 years of experience he has specialized in all forms of contact lens wear and refractive surgery management. Dr. Buck has managed PRK and LASIK surgery patients since 1995. After graduating from Valparaiso High School in 1968 he received his Doctorare of Optometry degree. His research interests were in corneal thickness response to hard gas permeable contact lens wear. Upon return to his hometown of Valparaiso, he quickly established a very successful optometric practice and has been named Northwest Indiana's #1 optometrist. Dr. Stephen Buck currently serves on the Center Township Board of Trustees and is actively involved in numerous community services. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Northwest Indiana Optometric Society.
Dr. Buck, with his son Scott, an ophthalmologist, is a co-founder of the Northwest Indiana Eye & Laser Center.
